Nick, our lives became connected at Methodist Hospital when you were my nursing assistant in ICU. How ironic that God puts people in our lives for a reason. He has a purpose for us all. I know you and I will become good friends. My son was critically burned in May of 1988 while my now ex-husband and I were away attending a suicide/ funeral. I realized such heroism in my own son. Just as I am certain your mom has in you. You are an inspiration. I look forward to working with you at Methodist. I hope to read your book and learn from you and your faith. I leave in February for a missions trip to Italy. See you soon, Kay

Nick, Saw your story on wcco and it gives us great hope that our son, who is 22 and suffered a TBI in 4/06, has a chance of recovery. Which leads to to my question. Is it possible that one of your nurses from Sister Kenny could contact us? We would greatly appreciate talking to them. Thank you and continue your wonderful progress.

My dear Nick. I just wanted to say thank you for writing to the STeve Devarennes family. I am so touched by this. I am Joan and I have been praying for Steve. He is one of my sons friends from High School in Cottage. Well this is how miracles work because you know what!! I was also praying for you too. I am the prayer link for the Well With in in West St Paul. I am annoymous but I just felt that I needed to say this to you because of the connection of how this is intertwined. My eyes are filled with tears right now. I am so happy that you are fine and that the Lord has blessed you. You are a very handsome young man. I really want your book so I will look for it. I just made my first vows as a Lay Missionary of Charities of Mother Teresa on Oct. 13. I will continue to pray that you can reach out and bless many more people and help them. I would love to meet you some day. Love Joan Siedow God Bless. write me ok jsiedow45@aol.com. I have a gift for you too.

Wow, Praise God! I too was in a terrible accident and broke my back from a car accident in 1988. They told me I would never walk again or be able to have children. It took standing on God's word for 5 years to see the results of myself walking and I am very happy to say I have two beautiful children that I gave birth at home. God is not impossible! Thank you so much for your story on wcco news, I never watch the news but your story caught my eye when going to different channels. I look forward to hearing more of you and your story told through out the world! For His Glory, Lori Valentin

I'm amazed to read this about Nick . I truely am . I didn't know any of this . But I liked him from the 1st time I met him . My parents always said , "There are 2 types of people in this world , givers & takers " The takers being the not so good . The givers , like Nick are not abundant but keep this world together . Thanks for being my friend: Mr Dennen

NICK, It was an honor and a heartbreak to watch you and your Mom & Dad on the WCCO report last evening. You truely are a "miracle" and a testament to "believing" and "never giving up". The fight you and your family battled to bring you to the man you are today, your perseverance in your daily life, the committment you, Natalie, your Mom and Dad have made to one another, and your appreciation for what is important are inspirations and motivation for all who know you. We are humbled and proud to be in that category. We are so very happy for you, your family, and your fiancee. Take good care, Nick, and God bless. "follow your bliss"

I don't think that I could be more proud of you than I am. You have overcome so much and yet remain the same happy child that you always were. We have had a few rough years along the way but they truly have made you a remarkable man. You are our miracle. Love you.

Nick, The story you tell, the life you lead, the inspiration you project...all make you the amazing person you are. I remember the event in Duluth well, the people who loved you and cared about you that were there in the hospital, waiting for you to wake-up. The length of love and luck you have...some people would give so much for. I think it's wonderful that you not only felt, but projected your experience on others. For people to hear your story, to know your strength. You truly are in inspiration to us all. Those of us who know you are better because of it. You amaze me always. Hope all is well, take care! -Michelle

I loved hearing about you tonight on TV. My story started almost 14 years ago when I had a snowmobile accident. No one expected me to live either but my family has stood by me and I also graduated from college afterwards. I now serve on the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of Minnesota and the Minnesota State Council on Disability. Helping others to move forward in their lives and overcoming tremendous challenges helps me to appreciate why God allowed me to continue on this earth. My wife, 3 kids and their families, (8 grandsons,) and so many friends are reasons to keep on moving forward. I cannot wait to read your book. Thanks for sharing your story.
