Nick, I just finished reading your book, "23". The impossible was possible with the right attitude, courage, and faith in family, friends, and most importantly God. I am in awe of how HE has carried you through this most difficult yet most rewarding journey. Thank you for sharing your story.

Nick -- what an amazing book you have written. I'm half way done with it and can't put it down. I had a brain aneursym almost 3 years ago and suffer the side effects from a TBI. Thanks for sharing your story with many. I look forward to meeting you some day and sharing the love of Jesus Christ our Savior. I couldn't of done it without the grace of God and a loving family. We are blessed. Continue your work here on earth. My verse that has kept me going and I live by each day is from Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." God bless you Nick.

I like your other meanings of TBI! After having a car accident with the results- brain injury, it is nice to lean about other people with TBI.
To Believe in the Impossible!

Great book, Nick. I found very inspiring.. This is one I will read many times until your advice and lessons will become a constant part of my life perspective. I hope to meet you in person sometime down the road. Maybe, you'll even be able to meet Deb. Until then, keep up the good work :)

I have received your amazing book. I didn't realize just how extensive your injuries were. Truly you are a miracle walking. The poem "You are who you are for a Reason" is so special. On that same page you stated that embracing your experience was necessary, so you held on tightly, looking to God to give you strength and courage to live out His will in your life. That is exactly what I did when I got the diagnosis of lung cancer a couple months ago. From the very beginning I have said that if God wills that I go through this, then that is fine with me and He has given me the strength of courage to go through the riggers of chemo with few side affects.
I want to go through every second of what it means to go through this difficult journey so I will know exactly how others feel as they go through difficult times. I head up the Prayer Quilt Ministry in our church and see so many people of all ages going through extremely difficult times and get to see first hand how the power of prayer plays out in each of our lives. Many, many times when we don't have the words to say as we cry out to God for help and can only manage a faint whisper, God hears us and answers in such wonderful ways.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful gift. I will treasure it and read it over and over again. Dear Lord, please continue to richly bless this young man. Your sister in Christ, Mary

Dear Nick,
I stumbled across your site when I was looking for the number "23," my son's birthday, tomorrow. I also have a story to tell. Google "Pleasure in the Frost." It is the story told in my photos and words of my 17 year battle with brain cancer. I am now approaching the last phase of that journey and am confident that I will soon see my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. It is a pleasure to "stumble" across your site and to see your message.
Blessings,
Don Adair

Dear Nick,
Your book made me realize what you went through and what my loved one has gone through to get to where you are today. I was so impressed with your faith and that you were so willing to share what God has done in your life. May the people that read your book realize that nothing is impossible with God.
